The Art of Art
It’s strange how we can have emotional and physical responses to art. For example, songs can bring us to tears or make the hairs on our arms stand up. And I don’t mean the lyrics, i’m talking about the sound that comes out. The ringing of someones voice sends shivers down our spines, it makes us feel something that’s impossible to explain. A photograph can trigger ripples through a crowd, turning angst into vulnerability. Colours on a canvas can play acoustics with our heart strings, sending sensations through our veins. It can persuade and manipulate us to think and feel in a certain way, and sometimes it only takes a second of looking, hearing to be overwhelmed with passion.
Art is powerful and complex, but only reflects one tiny pinch of our own complexity
